When the needs are detailed Durleigh have the inspiration to turn them into a solution!

Durleigh have worked with Cathedrals for many years the architecture and features of the cathedral have to be taken into consideration when designing a sign or display.

Most recently Durleigh have created and manufactured some beautifully finished money/gift aid collection points for Bristol Cathedral.  These freestanding units had a solid oak top and carved oak panelled base with a large clear acrylic upright tube the money goes down the tube and collects in a heavy weighted secure metal safe inside the bottom of the display.

Signage for Wells Cathedral was very specially thought out with one of the entrance signs being made from curved glass.  The internal signage varied to match in with the ornate building and age of the stone.  Some signage had an oak back panel with built up acrylic lettering to the face whilst other signage had a glass panel and hammered bronze effect built up letters.

Durleigh take great pride to maintain the beauty of these historic English buildings by designing and fabricating displays and signage that are in keeping.

5 Reasons why we should care about our heritage

1) Architectural beauty is good for you, its the beauty in art and design that makes us happy.

2) Historic buildings are a physical link to our past, they hold layers and layers of information about lives of those that have gone before

3) Historically significant buildings contribute to your city's cultural and economic well-being.

4) Heritage designations boost property values.

5) Heritage preservation is more labour-intensive, which means more jobs for skilled craftsmen.
