Museum grade Perspex® is a must when placing ancient artefacts, items of clothing or pieces of art for display for public viewing in Galleries or Museums. The material is a cast acrylic with UV light absorbing qualities.
For highly sensitive exhibits Perspex® VE is our recommended option, characterised by a slight yellow hue, derived from the UV inhibitor which acts to block out 99.99% of UV rays and is intended more for protection.
Durleigh were recently tasked with the manufacture of a tapestry cover for Clarks. The tapestry would be mounted to the corridor walls within the newly refurbished offices. This Perspex® cover had to be tough to protect the tapestry from damage, ultra violet light,
passing foot traffic and to provide status.
From contemporary looks inspired by the catwalk to shoes that put growing feet in safe hands, one name says it all: Clarks. The world number one in 'everyday footwear', we design, innovate, manufacture and sell more than 50 million pairs of shoes every year.
Founded in 1825 by brothers Cyrus and James, Clarks are still based in our birthplace of Street, Somerset, but today we are a global business, selling shoes in over 35 countries around the world.
